Kevin Murphy

I find unique technology, design, community and storytelling solutions to marketing problems.

I work everyday with companies like Microsoft, T-Mobile, MasterCard, HTC and Texas Instruments helping them with their social media, web and direct marketing. But I wanted a place to share ideas and personal stories that scale to the non-profits, the organizations, and small businesses that may not have the resources that some of my regular clients do.

I’ve worked in technology marketing since the late 90’s in both the Silicon Valley and the Pacific Northwest.  I currently work at CMD as their Director of Digital Strategy working on not just digital strategy but got to market planning, brand strategy and marketing execution across all channels. Prior to CMD, I was the Digital Experience Director with Waggener Edstrom.

In my journey I’ve had the honor to work with companies like Qatar Airlines, Microsoft, AMD, Borland International, Amazon, GE Healthcare and many, many others. In partnership with these companies,  campaigns I’ve managed have received a number of Sabre awards, Society fo New Communication and Silver and Gold Anvil awards. Campaigns have also been featured in  Newsweek, USA Today, the New York Times, Ad Age, PR Week and Marketing Computers.

I periodically speak at IABC, Social Media Club and related industry events.
