As many of you know, after 14 years at Waggener Edstrom, I’m moving on to new adventures with CMD.
Communications, branding and marketing have changed forever. Some agencies view this as a threat. CMD sees it as a major opportunity and I’m excited to be a part of it.
I’ll be starting on January 17th as CMD’s Director of Digital Strategy, working across the agency and its clients to drive and integrate emerging strategies, technologies and engagement tools into client marketing programs.
What attracted me to CMD was their recent growth due to the ability to synchronize the right blend of marketing solutions. I’ve seen forward-thinking brands and companies needing and asking for this and very few agencies can provide it. In this role, I’ll have the opportunity to apply emerging digital strategy and engagement across all aspects of the marketing mix including advertising, Web solutions, PR and social media, paid media, film & video, promotions and events for some of the world’s best companies such as Cisco, Intel, Microsoft and JELD-WEN. I really liked the fact that CMD brings the right disciplines together to form solutions vs. creating or supporting silos; a cross-disciplined approach that results in the effectiveness of their clients’ marketing investments.
It also doesn’t hurt that they are a great group of people and have a fantastic client portfolio.
Check out their 2010 holiday card http://www.cmdholiday.com No, I won’t be singing in next year’s version – I made sure that clause was in the employment agreement.
Come by and visit me, we’ll go to lunch. There are much better food choices nearby than there were in Lake Oswego.
